Most church websites are digital brochures. This needed to be more.
Living Free Franklin is an Assembly of God congregation in Franklin, Kentucky, with a genuine heart for its community and a growing congregation to serve. Like most churches, they needed an online presence. But what they actually needed went further than a homepage with service times and a contact form.
They needed a platform that could serve people before they ever walked through the door and keep serving them after they left. That meant a place for sermon archives, prayer requests, community events, and a clear pathway for someone visiting for the first time to know exactly what to expect.
Built from the inside out, by someone who actually leads here
This project had an advantage most web builds don't: the person building the platform also pastors the church. There was no discovery process where a designer tries to understand what a congregation actually needs. The strategy came from someone living it every week.
That shaped decisions at every level. The sermon page wasn't built to look like a podcast feed — it was built around how people actually engage with teaching content. The prayer page wasn't a buried contact form — it's a front-line ministry tool. The Plan a Visit section answers the real questions a first-time guest asks before they'll commit to showing up.
The result is a site at livingfreefranklin.church that functions less like a marketing asset and more like an extension of the ministry itself.
Six live systems built into one platform
What separates this from a typical church website is the live data layer underneath it. The site isn't static — it has six active data types that power real functionality the congregation uses week to week.
Searchable library of messages with commenting. Congregation can engage with content between Sundays.
Visitors and members can submit prayer requests directly through the site. Keeps the team connected to real needs.
Dynamic events page powered by live data. No more updating static HTML every time something changes.
Congregation can submit and share stories. Social proof that builds trust for first-time visitors.
A purpose-built pathway for guests — answers the questions people actually ask before they walk through the door.
Dedicated giving page that removes friction from generosity and makes it easy to contribute from anywhere.
Thirteen pages, each with a job to do
The page structure was built around the full visitor journey, from the first Google search to Sunday morning to ongoing connection and generosity.
A digital home that actually serves the mission
The site replaced a fragmented approach — social media for events here, a separate tool for sermons there, nothing for prayer — with one platform where everything lives and works together.
For a congregation of any size, that kind of consolidation has a real ministry impact. People who would never call the church office will submit a prayer request online. Someone considering visiting will spend fifteen minutes on the What to Expect page before they ever show up. That's the site doing real ministry work.
We build for churches differently than other agencies do
Most web agencies treat a church like any other small business client. They deliver a template, collect payment, and move on. What a church actually needs is a partner who understands that the website isn't just marketing — it's ministry infrastructure.
Geaux Breaux Online approaches church web work from the inside. We understand the dynamics of a congregation, the way people move from visitor to member to leader, and what a church staff actually needs to be able to manage week to week without a developer on call.
Living Free Franklin is also where Ty Crowder serves as Lead Pastor. This project wasn't just a client build — it was a chance to put into practice everything Geaux Breaux Online believes about what a church web presence should be. The result is a platform we stand behind completely because we use it ourselves.
